Review: “A coffee with science”

The event “A coffee with science” on 10th July 2018 took place in the “Alte Feuerwache”, with more than 60 citizens of Cologne. This event intended to inform about current research projects while enjoying coffee and cake. Lüder Wohlenberg, a doctor and cabaret artist, moderated the afternoon in an amusing and entertaining way.

The event was hosted by HealthRegion CologneBonn and CoRe-Net.

After being welcomed by Lüder Wohlenberg, the young scientists started with their presentations under the following titles:

    • Who’s not asking is wondering why
Ibrahim Demirer, Institute of Medical Sociology, Health Services Research and Rehabilitation Science (IMVR), University of Cologne

    • If there’s nothing to do anymore, there’s still much to do
Gloria Hanke, Department of Palliative Medicine, University Hospital of Cologne

    • Focusing on patients?!
Kira Hower, Institute of Medical Sociology, Health Services Research and Rehabilitation Science (IMVR), University of Cologne

    • Empathy is good… Care for Caregivers
Andreas Kocks, University Hospital of Bonn

Between these presentations, Lüder Wohlenberg provided insight into his cabaret and introduced the self-embodied patient Mr. Raderscheid.

Thanks to all the participants and the speakers for their interesting insights and the exciting discussions.
