Review: CoRe-Net Career Day 2021

Research and development in healthcare

On 18 February 2021, our first CoRe-Net Career Day took place in cooperation with the Centre for Health Services Research Cologne (ZVFK).
Like many of our events, the Career Day was held digitally due to the Covid 19 pandemic. We are pleased about the huge interest in the event – a total of 58 people took part via the Zoom platform.
The event was led by Lisa Bach (research assistant at the CoRe-Net coordination office, IMVR – Institute for Medical Sociology, Health Services Research and Rehabilitation Science, University of Cologne).

14 speakers offered the participants an insight into various fields of work from research and development in the health sector with their exciting presentations. We look back on a multifaceted programme:

Networking even though there was no presence
During the programme, the speakers answered questions directly via the personal chat function after their presentations. In this way, it was also possible to get into an exchange. In addition, all contact details of the speakers are available to the participants in an information brochure so that they can get in touch with the respective contact persons after the event.

Outlook
We can already announce that we will organise another Career Day next year and are already looking forward to exciting contributions. We hope to be able to fully facilitate the typical networking character of such an event within the framework of a face-to-face event.
