Review: CoRe-Net Career Day 2022

Research and development in healthcare

On March 24th 2022, our 2nd CoRe-Net Career Day took place. The event was again held in cooperation with the Center for Health Services Research Cologne (ZVFK). In addition, we are pleased to announce that – in cooperation with the Gesundheitskongress des Westens – we were able to give away three congress tickets to students who attended the Career Day.

Although we had hoped to be able to fully facilitate the typical networking character of such an event as part of a face-to-face event, this year’s Career Day was again held online due to the high infection numbers. We are even more pleased about the great interest in the event – a total of around 50 people took part via the online meeting platform Zoom.

The event was led by Lisa Bach (Research Assistant at the CoRe-Net Coordination Office, IMVR – Institute for Medical Sociology, Health Services Research and Rehabilitation Science, University of Cologne).

17 speakers gave the participants an insight into different fields of research and development in the health care sector with their exciting and comprehensive presentations. We look back on a diverse program this year as well:

Networking – also possible via Zoom

Questions from the audience were answered by the speakers after their presentations, ensuring an initial exchange in this digital format as well. In addition, all contact details of the speakers were made available to the participants in an information brochure, so that they could also get in touch with the respective contact persons after the event.

Thanks

Once again, we would like to thank all speakers of the CoRe-Net Career Day 2022, which was only made possible by the speakers who presented their institute and their field of work. We are also very happy about the numerous registrations and thank all interested parties for their participation.

We would also like to thank the organizers of the Gesundheitskongress des Westens for providing the congress tickets to be raffled and for the new cooperation.

Announcement

We are pleased to announce that we will also organise another Career Day in 2023. We hope to be able to fully facilitate the typical networking character of such an event within the framework of a face-to-face event. We will keep you up to date on this and other CoRe-Net events on our homepage and via our social media channels Facebook and Twitter.
